Two years ago, when Maddie Turco joined the Northeast community as a special education teacher, she and her co-teacher, Larissa Anderson, were assigned to work with one another. 

Together, they created learning experiences for students that were differentiated, responsive, and held all children, including those with some significant challenges, to extremely high standards.
